I have been posting a alot about RSS lately. There are several reasons for this. First there is a lot of things being said about the format so its interesting and easy to follow. Second, and more importantly, RSS has changed the way I work every day. I guess RSS by itself hasn’t changed anything, but its widespread adoption coupled with Newsgator–an excellent RSS aggregator–has changed how I operate. With Newsgator and RSS I am able to keep up with a tremendous amount of news and blogs every day.
I admit that I run hot and cold about reading all of the RSS feeds I subscribe to, but when I do it consistently, I like it a lot. The amount of information I am able to gather that is current and interesting is ubelievable. Very nice. Thanks to Robert Scoble for pushing me towards Newsgator.
Pointed to by Cory Doctorow at Boing Boing, mystack.com has a cool service:
MyStack.com lets you create “Stacks” - like the one you see on the right-hand side of the page. A stack is a list of links, like a blogroll, and can be inserted into a weblog or webpage.
Unlike ordinary blogrolls, the list of links in a Stack changes. When you create a stack, you tell us what items you want us to stack for you. When the PubSub system finds new items that match your request, your Stack is immediately updated.
As an example, mystack.com has a stack that keeps track of links that mention RSS. Lots of interesting reading.
