Japan Feels Strain of Cheap 100Mbps Broadband: “
For
a mere $36/month Japan residents are getting 100Mbps fiber-optic
broadband and free VoIP. 5.5m have now added the faster service, in
addition to 23m homes which already have 8Mbps service. But the
increased demand is starting to take a toll on the tubes, which hit
158Gbps at major exchanges.
