Back From Burton Group

July 3rd, 2007 · No Comments

I spent last week at the Burton Group conference. As usual at these kinds of events, the networking was the best part. Old friends, new acquaintances,  stuff you just can’t  do  very  well on line.  Thank you  Jamie  for  making  it happen. He just called me up late last Fri. and wanted to know why I hadn’t registered. He then proceeded to have the Burton Group pay my plane ticket and hotel. Thanks for the honor Jamie!

Many people asked me about the origins of Catalyst. The first Catalyst conference was held in 1993. Pebble Beach. Great golf course. Piss poor accommodations for a conference. But again, the networking was great. Can you believe that? 1993!

Ok. A bunch of us were networking in the bar after the reception Tues. Guy Huntington came up to me and said, “what are the top three issues facing identity today.” Or at least something to that effect.

Meeting Pamela was fabulous. An unabashed canook. “Have you ever noticed that ‘all’ of the good identity people are Canadians.”

I will roll out my answers over the next few days.
