I told you about meeting Guy Huntington at Catalyst. As I said the question he asked was what I thought the top three identity issues are. Rolling those answers out over the next few times is a little anti-climactic. Guy already blogged it on the 30th. He left out a lot of context that I will fill in. Before I do that let me bring up a metaphor about power of words that also came up at the conference.
One of my favorite books that came out in 1992 was Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. The main bad guy in the book was Dmitri “Raven” Ravenhood. Now you must read how Neal introduces the character to get the full impact. Here is the gist. Raven’s weapon of choice are glass knives. Reputedly one molecule thick at the edge. The other cool thing about the weapon, is that is undetectable (even by PR departments.)
A well written document cuts through anything.
More later.
