A few days ago, my good friend Pamela Dingle who writes the Adventures of an Eternal Optimist wrote some haiku about the “infinitely nested abstraction that a (meta-) system.” Her entry is:
System or metasystem?
Take your pick;
Someone will always disagree.
There was a flurry of comments–all in haiku–from noted industry players. Really good stuff. So Pamela invited me to contribute. I finally got around to it this afternoon. Here was my entry:
There once was a girl from Nantucket
Who kept her systems in a bucket
So you’ll never know
Which way it will go
Is it meta or system? ah phuckit

I love haiku.
